Ramon Caceres is a research staff member at IBM Research.  His
work focuses on mobile computing, in which he has had a strong
interest since the days of 25-pound luggables.  Prior to joining
IBM, he was chief scientist of Vindigo, an award-winning provider
of mobile applications.  Earlier, he was a research scientist
at AT&T Labs and Bell Labs.  Ramon serves on the editorial
boards of IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking and IEEE
Transactions on Mobile Computing.  He obtained his Ph.D. from the
University of California at Berkeley.
